Facebook Blocks your URLs?

Facebook Blocks your URL? - In recent years, Facebook has blocked millions of domains or URLs for violating their terms and policies. Here are 9 ways to not blocked from Facebook. Although many ways have been proposed on various websites on how to unblock URLs blocked by Facebook, these methods have not yielded any results. In fact, many people offer services to open URLs that are blocked by Facebook while it can only be done by Facebook itself; and to this day it never happened.

Instead of discussing something that will never happen, let's take a look at how to prevent a URL or domain from being blocked by Facebook.

Facebook may have become the superior social media in cyberspace. With its power, Facebook has acquired Instagram and WhatsApp. This means, if a URL or domain is blocked by Facebook, then that URL is also blocked on Instagram and in a few moments it will be blocked from WhatsApp.

Why is Facebook so strict about filtering shareable URLs?

Facebook is very strict in filtering shareable URLs because of the rampant spamming activity on the internet. Facebook is now used by billions of people around the world and "cybercriminals" often use Facebook to "lure" victims of their scams. Facebook's strict URL filtering system aims to maintain the convenience, security, and confidentiality of its users.

Unlike other social media such as Twitter, which is not too strict in filtering shared URLs, Facebook does not conduct an accurate selection and evaluation of the URLs sent so that many healthy blogs have become victims of blocking. Naturally, only URLs containing "threats" should be blocked by Facebook. Unfortunately, today, even a new blog that has an article or two has the potential to be blocked by Facebook. Even worse, any Facebook user can report a URL as SPAM and Facebook blocks the URL immediately.

Many bloggers have made Facebook as one of their main traffic sources. But if you research the statistical reports in Google Analytics, traffic from social media has little impact on the profits you make through blogging.

Search engines like Google want a blog to get organic traffic; traffic that comes from using search engines. Organic traffic is obtained through writing quality, unique blog content and containing the most searched keywords. To get organic traffic, you should do some SEO keyword research before writing content on your blog.

Don't rely on social media like Facebook to get traffic; instead of getting traffic, your URL is blocked by Facebook.

How to not be blocked from Facebook

If you really have to use Facebook to get additional traffic to your blog or website, you should pay attention to how to avoid URLs being blocked by Facebook below.

1. Increase Domain Authority

New blogs that do not have a domain authority tend to be easily blocked by Facebook. If you have a new blog, don't be in a hurry to post your blog's URL on the Facebook homepage because that is the same as asking Facebook to block your blog's URL.

Before you venture to post your blog's URL on Facebook, it's a good idea to increase your blog's domain authority first. You can do this through backlinks, quality unique content, and regular content updates. I also have to tell you that the age of your domain also determines the domain authority of your blog so you need to be patient for a while and set your goal of getting organic traffic.

2. Don't post blog URLs in blogger groups or forums

As a blogger, you must have joined one or two blogger groups or forums (known as the blogosphere) on Facebook, right? The people who are members of the group are your competitors because you have the same target.

Often, unfair competition occurs between bloggers in groups on Facebook. Once you post your blog's URL, the potential for being blocked by Facebook will knock on the door. Use the group to learn about blogging and don't expect visits from fellow bloggers; it's all nonsense.

3. Check spam links on your blog

It's possible that you put some links on your blog as referrals and some of those links are spammy or refer to a blog or page with a high spam score. Use an internet domain authority checker to measure a link's spam score before posting it on your blog.

You may need to test the blog template you want to use. Some blog templates contain malware that will harm your blog. My advice, do not use premium templates that are provided for free on the internet. If you can't afford a premium template, please use a free one and download it from a trusted blogger template provider website.

4. Create a fanpage on Facebook

As your domain authority increases (at least 3), create a fanpage for your blog on Facebook. In this fanpage you put your blog URL safely because Facebook will do some kind of URL verification before approving your fanpage. If you want to share your blog content update on Facebook, share it on your fanpage.

5. Limit the number of URLs shared to Facebook

You should not share more than one URL to Facebook in a day. Simultaneous URL sharing may result in your URL being blocked by Facebook as Facebook bots detect this as spamming activity.

6. Selection of Ads served on your blog

Ads served on your blog contain links. Some time ago, an advertising network was attacked by malware so that all blogs serving ads from that network were taken down by search engines and social media. You must be selective in serving ads on your blog even if the ads come from trusted advertising networks such as Google AdSense.

7. Don't post prohibited content

We recommend that you avoid content such as gambling, pornography, hate speech, fake news, and so on. It is believed that Facebook bots can detect the presence of images, videos or text that could "harm" its users. Therefore, try to keep your blog free from prohibited content.

8. Don't use URL shortener

URL shorteners can be read as cloacking by Facebook bots. Cloacking is a "fake" URL that is often used by bloggers and is very insecure. Even if you only intend to shorten a long blog URL, Facebook bots have already learned that "link within a link" is a black hat SEO technique; neither social media nor search engines really like it.

9. Verify your Domain in Facebook Business Suite

Last but the most important one, is verifying your domain in Facebook Business Suite. Create your account in Facebook Business Suite and go to the Setting. Choose the Brand Security and add a domain. You will be given a meta tag to verify your domain. It is very fast and simple; Facebook has a clear guide to do that. Once your domain is verified in Facebook Business, your URL will never be blocked in the future and you are free to share your URLs.

Sharing a blog URL on Facebook can certainly drive some additional traffic to your blog. However, the risk of being banned from Facebook is very demoralizing for blogging. By following the advice I gave above, I assure you that your blog URL will never be blocked by Facebook even if thousands of people try to report your link as SPAM.
